The first genrel intrest magazine is thought to be the gentalmens intrest magazine, which was first puplished in 1731. The editor of the magazine was Edward cave was the first person to use the term 'magazine'.
There is many companys out there which create mazines for everyones intrest. Some of the more popular ones are

With magazines including, Glamour, Good Housekeeping, Mens Health, Top Gear, NME, Kerrang and Match of the day. They have to make a whole range of magazines because everyone is different and likes to read different magazines about the subject of there choice.
You need to have a good knolage of the subject the magazine is putting across to the customers.

I think that the magazine industy is improving everyday bring out different magazines for different peoples intrest. This is because people are enjoying reading them and going back each week to buy the next one.

In the 20th centry the radio has become more popular, and with this there is more radio stations being broadcast throught out the United Kingdom. This is a good way of getting people to hear your songs and then if they like them then they can go out and buy them. The most popular radio station is radio 2 with 13.5million listerners closely followed by radio 1 with 10.8million listerns, this is because they are based in London and the population in London is very large, and also the surrounding areas of the UK can tune in aswell so they can get millions of people to listen to there Radio Station each day.
All of the Radio producers are very cleaver and many went to University first to get higher qualification. You would need to know how all the tecnolagy works and need a good understanding of what people want to listen to.
I think that the radio was one of the best inventions ever made, because you can listen to whats happerning whereever you are, like in the car, at home or on the train, you might not get the station that you want to listen to in most places but there are other channels out there which do the same sort of music.

The BBC is a big part in the history of broadcasting. It was founded 18th October 1992 and has been running ever since the there first broadcast on the 14th November 1992. When the BBC was first found it was named British Broadcasting Company but is now shortened to the BBC.
There are many big televison channels which get a lot of viewers each year, including Channel 4 and ITV. There are many other channels which more people can get hold of now because of the digital switch over, this means that most of the house holds will have to have a freeview box, skybox, virgin box so that they can get hold of the favourite television programmes.
To Get into the televison indusdtry you have to be very reliable, whether its prestenting the programme or working behind the scenes it take a lot of people to make and air a programme. You also need to have a keen intrest and a good knowege of televison so that you can persue a job in the televison indursty.
I think that the televison industry has made a big impact on everyday life, I think this becuase more and more people have brought and are watching televison, also the broadcasters know this so they are spreading the word of anything that want to and it will get to more people. For example advertiment during shows, it costs alot to make and put it on the television but if you have good slots then more people will be able to see it and go out and get your product.
